Police Chase Main Stabbing Perpetrator In Head Killed Vegetable Trader In Kudus

The Kudus Police are hunting for the main perpetrators of the stabbing to the death of a fish and vegetable trader named Nanda Indi Saputro.

"The main perpetrator of the stabbing with the initials As is still at large. The team is still searching to account for his actions," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kudus Police, AKP Danang Sri Wiratno, on the sidelines of a case title at the Kudus Police Headquarters, Central Java, Wednesday, October 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

Meanwhile, those who were caught in August 2023, he said, were friends of As with the initials Jd who was a resident of Bae Village, Bae District, Kudus.

In the arrest of the perpetrator, it was not easy because he fled since the stabbing case that occurred on February 17, 2023.

"After searching for various regions, starting from Rembang Regency, Pati, to the last time Tangerang City was found," he said.

The stabbing victim had undergone treatment at the hospital due to stab wounds to the head and stomach. However, after one month the victim died.

He said that in front of the officers admitted that he only hit the victim with his bare hands and did not participate in the stabbing.

"I only accompanied As without knowing the problem with the victim," he said.

After the stabbing incident, he admitted that he did not know where his friend was because he ran for safety. Meanwhile, from the start he had indeed fled to Tangerang, Banten, while his friend As was not known to date.

The stabbing incident occurred when victim Nanda Indi Saputro was selling in a lesehan stall selling her mother's fish and vegetables in Panjang Village, Bae District, Kudus Regency, on Friday, October 17 afternoon.

At the time of the incident his mother was returning home, while the victim was beaten by two people and one of them was carrying a sharp weapon.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 12 years in prison.
