Panwaslih Aceh Jaya Urges Political Parties Not To Install APS Before The Campaign Period

The Electoral Supervisory Committee (Panwaslih) of Aceh Jaya Regency appealed to all political parties not to install socialization props (APS) or campaigns that contain elements of invitation, such as serial numbers, vision and mission before the campaign period. "Previously we found several APS who did not comply with the provisions, including the use of serial numbers before being included in the permanent candidate list (DCT)," said Panwaslih Aceh Jaya Chairman Muhammad Afzal in Aceh Jaya, Antara, Friday, October 6. He emphasized that Panwaslih had conveyed an appeal to political parties participating in the 2024 General Election to bring order to APS in accordance with applicable regulations. Where, in Article 79 paragraph (3) of PKPU Number 15 of 2023 it is stated that socialization attributes should not contain invitations made by political parties. So far, said Afzal, his party can only give appeals to election participants without taking action because they have not entered the official stage. However, when it has entered the official campaign period, Panwaslih can recommend Satpol PP to regulate the installed APK that is not appropriate. "Such as places of worship, schools, hospitals, government facilities and other public places that disturb public order and public peace," he said. He hopes that political parties can be more orderly in the installation of the APK before entering the campaign period, his party is committed to continuing to monitor. "We are committed to ensuring that the election runs fairly and in accordance with applicable regulations and regulations," said M Afzal.
