After Being Questioned By The KPK, Dahlan Iskan Calls The Former Managing Director Of PT Pertamina Karen Agustiawan A Suspect In The LNG Corruption Case

JAKARTA - Former SOE Minister Dahlan Iskan has been examined as a witness to allegations of corruption in the procurement of liquid natural gas (LNG) at PT Pertamina Persero. He said the suspect in this case was Karen Agustiawan, the former Managing Director of Pertamina for the 2009-2014 period.

Dahlan made this statement after undergoing an examination for five hours from 10:00 WIB at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He claimed to have explained his knowledge regarding the procurement process to investigators.

"(The examination, ed) is related to Mrs. Karen. You know, Mrs. Karen. Yes (the suspect, ed)," Dahlan told reporters after undergoing an examination.

Dahlan admitted that he did not know about the purchase of LNG at the state-owned company. He also denied being investigated about the flow of funds.

"No (don't know, ed). I'm not a commissioner, not a director. That's very technical in the company (about buying, ed)," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK has named a suspect in connection with allegations of corruption in the procurement of liquid natural (LNG) at PT Pertamina in 2011-2021. However, the name and construction of the case have not yet been submitted to the public.

In addition, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent four people from leaving the country in this case. Based on the information gathered, the parties who were prevented were former President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Karen Agustiawan, Harri Karyulanto, Yenni Andyani, and Dimas Mohamad Aulia.

A number of witnesses suspected of knowing the actions of the suspects have been summoned by KPK investigators. One of them, former President Director of PT Pertamina Dwi Soejipto who was asked to explain the sale and purchase of LNG procurement at Pertamina in 2011-2021.
