JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono inaugurated the Dukuh Atas Multipurpose Crossing Bridge (JPM), Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

Minister of Transportation Budi revealed that JPM Dukuh Atas does not use the allocation of funds from the regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD) or the APBN in its construction.

The DKI Provincial Government and DKI BUMD are collaborating with the private sector to build bridges that people can use in mobility.

"I actually get goosebumps. What we think is carried out intelligently by the Governor. This is not easy because the president's instructions are not allowed to use the APBN, we can't use the APBD. This is done well and functionally," Budi said at the location, Wednesday, September 13.

JPM Dukuh Atas was built 230 meters long, integrating transportation modes, namely the Jabodebek LRT and the Jakarta MRT, KAI Commuter Line Sudirman, Transjakarta, and airport trains located in the Dukuh Atas transit-oriented area (TOD).

The Minister of Transportation hopes that JPM Dukuh Atas can be an example of integration between modes of transportation in other areas.

"I appreciate the Governor and colleagues, hopefully these methods will be a format for all cities in Indonesia. It is impossible for us to build mass transportation but there is no intermodal mode, no first mile and last mile. Make this place a lifestyle, so an example," said the Minister of Transportation.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono explained, in addition to making it easier for people to switch modes of mass transportation, JPM Dukuh Atas can be used to support other activities, such as social activities and tourism.

"Activities, for example, on Saturday Sunday, they can carry out communication activities, young people while waiting for the LRT or high-speed trains. I also thank the Minister of PUPR for providing permits related to crossings," he added.
