Four interbank customers who were arrested by a joint team of Sub-Directorate III of the North Sumatra Police, have robbed customers at Bank Penang, Malaysia.

"The total loss is still being investigated, but it is certainly estimated to reach almost Rp. 1 billion," he said.

Sumaryono said that when the four perpetrators were arrested by the police, they were planning their next action to rob Bank BRI customer target Harapan Tani Branch, Indra Giri Hilir Regency, Riau.

According to the suspects, the target of the next victim will take up to hundreds of millions of rupiah in the bank.

"However, their action has not yet occurred, they were immediately arrested by the police," he said.

During the arrest, the joint team consisted of Sub-Directorate III of the North Sumatra Police together by the North Tapanuli Police and the Deli Serdang Police. For the motive, the perpetrators always target bank customers who make cash disbursement transactions.
