JAKARTA - Creative economic activities are characterized by a series of production and distribution activities of goods or services that utilize technological advances. So that national identity is not forgotten, cultural elements must be integrated with various production outputs from creative business actors.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno assessed that in the current era, business actors including MSMEs must increase their capacity in utilizing technology.

"I want these MSMEs not to run in place, to move up in class, to be able to develop and open up as many job opportunities as possible," said Sandiaga Uno in his statement seen, Sunday, September 10.

The target of 4.4 million new jobs by 2024, continued Sandiaga, will be realized if there is the right synergy between culture and the use of technology.

Culture and technology-based tourism will become a creative selling point amidst changing world trends post-pandemic.

By marrying culture and technology, production output from 14 subsectors such as; advertising, architecture, the arts and antiques market, crafts, design, clothing, video film and photography, interactive games, music, performing arts, publishing and printing, computer services and software, television and radio as well as research and development will increase significantly.

Based on this fact, the Bataknese Professionals Association held the Digitalk Fest. The seminar, which is planned to be held on September 13 2023 at the Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, has the theme 'Strengthening the Creative Economy through Culture and the Power of Technology'.

Apart from Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, there will be a number of speakers who are concerned about developing the creative economy in Indonesia, such as Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan (Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment), Yasonna H Laoly (Minister of Law and Human Rights), and Silmy Karim (Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia).

Digitalk Fest will highlight digital marketing trends that are now developing in various formats. Developing creativity, data-based insight and analytical skills for creative economy industry players will be the main focus of the seminar.
