3 Server Online Gambling Sites In The Philippines 4 Content Creators In Sukabumi Arrested By Police

The Sukabumi Police have named four suspects in online gambling creator content. The suspects, one of whom is the woman, were involved in making online gambling advertisements.

"The suspects have their respective roles. Until now, we are still developing the case to reveal who the big cities behind the suspects are," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Maruly Pardede in Sukabumi, Saturday, September 10, as quoted by Antara.

Maruly explained that the four suspects, namely the initials TS (28) acted as content creators on the website cangkul88.com, senta88.ink and gogo90.us. Meanwhile, suspect E alias I (27) acts as a spammer or digital sender on the three online gambling websites.

Furthermore, the suspect P (31) acted as a designer for the website cangkul88.com, senta88.ink and gogo90.us. Meanwhile, the suspect N (24) who played a role in promoting the three online gambling sites.

Maruly said the arrest of four suspects was due to information from the public. They were arrested in a number of locations.

He said that initially, the Sukabumi Police Satreskrim Tipidter Unit personnel raided a house in Premapera Housing in Kertaraharja Village, Cikembar District on Sunday, August 20, at around 23.00 WIB.

During the raid, the suspect TS was arrested. This figure admitted that while he was a content creator, he made a profit of Rp. 6 million.

Then from the results of police development, suspect E alias I was secured from the Nyalindung District, Sukabumi Regency. While on duty as a spammer, suspect E made a profit of Rp. 10 million.

Selanjutnya tersangka P ditangkap Desa Sinaresmi, Kecamatan Gunungguruh, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Profit yang didapat tersangka ini mencapai Rp30 juta.

Finally, the police arrested N, a woman, in Sinaresmi Village, Gunungguruh District.

Maruly said that apart from arresting the four perpetrators, his party also confiscated evidence in the form of two units of central processing units, two units of monitors, two units of cellphones and two cards of cellular phone operators.

Based on the statements of the suspects, Maruly said that the activity of building an online gambling website had been carried out for three months. In fact, it is interesting that two of the four suspects are husband and wife, namely P and N.

The police chief also said that in handling this case the Sukabumi Police coordinated with the West Java Police Cyber Directorate because the main server was in the Philippines.

His party, he continued, also coordinated with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) to block the three gambling sites, namely cangkul88.com, sentsa88.ink and gogo90.us.

As a result of his actions, in this case four suspects were charged with Article 27 paragraph 2 junto Article 45 paragraph 2 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning information and electronic transactions (ITE) junto Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code concerning invitations to other people to commit prohibited acts, with the threat of imprisonment of more than five years.
