Rational Democrats Regarding The Requirements For The Post-Cash Coalition From The Anies Coalition

Chairman of the Organizational, Cadreization and Membership Development Agency (BPOKK) of the Democratic Party Herman Khaeron said that his party was thinking rationally and did not determine certain conditions in the post-concurrent coalition of the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP).

"Democrats think rationally only because yesterday maybe when they were still joining NasDem and PKS, we could answer: because it was pioneering from the start, so then there was bargaining power, both for portfolios and other things," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 9.

Herman explained that the Democratic Party thinks rationally because at this time they will be included in the coalition that has been formed, namely the coalition supporting Ganjar Pranowo or Prabowo Subianto.

"But now it's a coalition that has been formed. Therefore, just think rationally. Of course, if there is a space that is open and discussed what is rationally, it may be a Democratic portion," he said.

He also emphasized that the Democratic Party did not force the General Chairperson Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to become a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) for the new coalition.

"If you are invited to become a vice presidential candidate, you are ready, but even if you don't, we are more rational to join the coalition in the future. Following whatever has become an agreement and commitment," he said.

Herman believes the Democratic Party is able to increase strength for the coalition. According to him, his party has networks, cadres, legislative candidates (caleg), to high structure and electability.

"Even have the highest electability as a vice presidential candidate and this is the basic capital for winning whoever the coalition will win in the future," he said.
