KEPRI - Riau Islands Provincial Government (Kepri Provincial Government) built three box culverts aka culverts at three road points in Tanjungpinang City to overcome flooding in the area.

So far, flooding has occurred on several roads in Tanjungpinang, one of which has been triggered by the water distribution system, which is still one estuary.

Ansar also asked the public to be patient with the closure of several roads due to the construction of these culverts. He hopes that the work can be completed properly and on time.

"I ask that contractors work as much as possible according to the set target," said Ansar.

Separately, the Acting Technical Activity Implementer (PPTK), Suji Hartanto, said that the construction work of these culverts uses APBN funds through the Regional Apparatus Working Unit for the National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) at the PUPR Office of the Riau Islands Provincial Government.

The work starts from March 14, 2023, with the implementation period of 291 calendar days or completed in December 2023.

According to Suji, until now, the recapitulation of development work has reached 50 percent.
