DENPASAR - Ayuterra Resort Ubud, Gianyar, Bali, changed 3 rope sliding lifts to one sling rope with a larger load carrying power of up to 1.8 tons.

The Head of the Gianyar Police, Bali, AKBP I Ketut Widiada, explained that the management of Ayuterra Resort replaced the sling rope because it was shrinking. Replacement into one sling rope was carried out in March 2023.

"The results of the crime scene check in 2019 the strength of the third rope (investigate). After that it was repaired in March 2023 and (replaced to) one," said Widiada, Friday, September 8.

The Ayuterra Resort technician explained that the three rope Sling that was installed before had a load carrying of 1.2 tons. Due to the shrinking, the sling rope was changed to a rope that had a load carrying capacity of 1.8 tons.

"This is from a technician who said that the strength of the three (sling rope), one rope is about 400 kilograms, so if three is about 1.2 tons. Now, what was replaced is according to the information from the technician's strength of 1.8 tons, so it can still be used," he said.

According to the police, the replacement of this sling rope is in accordance with the rules imposed by Ayuterra Resort.

"Three (sling lines) are replaced by new ones whose strength is stronger. If according to the rules of them, if they have followed 10 percent, they must be replaced. It is possible that out of these three they will experience a 10 percent shrinkage, so they will be replaced and only have 1.8 tons of power left," he explained.

Meanwhile, regarding the breaking of the tie that was installed in March 2023 while pulling the elevator load, the police are still waiting for the results of the Labfor Polda.

"We are waiting for the Bidlabfordan examination to check the strength of the sampling. Is it because of the excess (charge) that the Bidlabfor examination will be carried out," said AKBP Widiada.
