Prabowo Concerning Young Vice Presidential Candidates: Young Erick, Young Gibran, Ridwan Kamil Okay

JAKARTA - The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), Yenny Wahid, said that he hopes that Prabowo Subianto's candidate for vice president (readwapres) will later represent young people.

"To read Mr. Prabowo's vice president, I hope that will later become a representation of young people," Yenny said after her meeting with Prabowo on Jalan Kertanegara 4, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 6.

According to Yenny, Indonesia needs a young person as a vice president. Through Prabowo, he hopes that these needs will be met.

"Because we need it. Young people are represented by their voices and we hope that whoever Vice President is elected can represent young people," said Yenny.

He then joked by asking Prabowo's opinion regarding his statement.

"Do you think that's the case, Mas Bowo? Is it suitable, Mas Bowo?" Yenny asked.

"Cocok," replied Prabowo.

Yenny said that her hope was that Prabowo's vice presidential candidate would represent these young people as a criterion.

"Yes. Criteria first. A finished handline case, that's another matter. Criteria first," he said.

Responding to Yenny's statement, Prabowo then mentioned several names that he said represented young people.

The Minister of Defense mentioned the names of SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil.

"Young Erick, young Gibran. Many are young," said Prabowo.

"Ridwan Kamil okay," continued Prabowo in response to questions from the media crew.
