Bareskrim Explanation Regarding Rocky Gerung Examination

Political observer Rocky Gerung was asked 47 questions during the clarification process at Bareskrim Polri, today. The material for the examination is about his remarks which are suspected of spreading false news.

"Of the 47, we have asked Rocky Gerung about the material related to the video, related to palm oil and so on. So we have conveyed some materials," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.

Investigators actually prepared 97 questions that Rocky Gerung had to answer. However, for a reason, the clarification process was temporarily suspended.

Investigators and Rocky agreed to continue the investigation process on September 13.

During the examination later, said Djuhandhani, investigators will dig up Rocky Gerung's statement to prove whether or not there was a criminal offense as reported by the reporting parties.

"Still, the others, of course, investigators also have questions to prove about what was conveyed by the reporter, which is considered a clause of this false clause, we also question," he said.

On the other hand, in the process of handling the case involving Rocky Gerung, around 86 witnesses and experts have been questioned.

The dozens of witnesses were mostly questioned during the process of handling the alleged spread of fake news which caused the disturbance to be handled by the regional police.

"Then the steps that we have carried out are currently we have examined 73 witnesses and 13 experts," Djuhandhani.

Meanwhile, several words or statements by Rocky Gerung were reported, among others;

"Once Jokowi loses his power he becomes an ordinary person, no one cares later. But Jokowi's ambition is to maintain his legacy. He offers IKN, pacing to the coalition, to find clarity on his fate," said Rocky in the video.

"He thinks his fate is not our fate, it's b****n yang t*l, sekaligus b***ng*n mengguruh. Kalau dia b***ng*n smart, dia mau terima berbahan dengan Jumhur Hidayat. Ajaib, b**ng*n tapi mengguruh," lanjut Rocky mengkritik Jokowi.
