Evacuation Of Dead Boy Drowning In KBT Duren Sawit Taking Place Dramatically, Officer: Victim Found Covered At The Bottom 6 Meters Deep

Kenzie (11), a boy who drowned, was found lying face down at the depths of the East Flood Canal (KBT), near the BKT floodgate, Malaka Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

The evacuation effort took place dramatically. The process of searching for victims is carried out by officers and residents with care.

In addition to using rubber boats, the search for victims was carried out by diving. As a result, one of the residents managed to find the victim's body that sank at the bottom of the water.

"The victim was found in a fairly deep flow. The victim was covered at a depth of 6 meters," said Danru of the Duren Sawit Sector of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Hendra Buti, to reporters at the location, Sunday, September 3.

The evacuation was carried out by one of the residents who dived and managed to reach the victim's body at the bottom of the BKT flow.

"One of the residents who entered the water immediately grabbed one of the victims. It was immediately achieved and directed to a rubber boat," he said.

According to information gathered, previously the victim Kenzie swam in the BKT stream with two friends. The three victims then drowned. However, two of the victim's friends managed to survive.

"Initially at the TKP there were three children swimming, the others can be saved," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a 7-year-old boy was found dead after being missing due to drowning in the East Flood Canal (KBT), near the KBT floodgate, Malaka Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta on Sunday, September 3.

The victim's body was found after a search was carried out by East Jakarta Gulkarmat officers using rubber boats.
