Travel Car Driver Becomes Accident Suspect Who Killed 2 People On Pandaan-Malang Toll Road

Agnis explained that the accident that occurred on the Pandaan-Malang Toll Road involved two vehicles, namely the Toyota Hiace car with the police number W-7619-N and the Isuzu NKR66 E-8879-BA truck. His friend was in angkringan until 02.00 WIB in the morning, "he said. Then, he continued, the travel driver slept an hour in the angkringan place, and then woke up at around 03.00 WIB. Furthermore, the driver took the vehicle at the rental site and picked up guests starting at 05.00 WIB. "The driver experienced extreme fatigue so that at the time of the incident he was sleepy and occurred in a microsleep," he explained. Based on the results of the crime scene (TKP), it is known that the travel driver did not brake at the scene. The vehicle driven by the suspect hit the back of the truck in front of him. "It is clear that the truck itself has used the right side because it is to overtake the tronton truck in front of it. But at the same time the driver did not use the brakes at all," he added. As a result of the incident, the victim died named Syamiri Thairan (64), a resident of Landak Regency, West Kalimantan, and Rusiti Liiran (66) residents of Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. While the injured were Mayani Tairan (68), a resident of Sambas Regency, Rahmawati (50) a resident of Bengkayang Regency, Rusminah (66), a resident of Sambas Regency, and Lutfiati Shofiatulail (21), a resident of Bengkayang Regency. Furthermore, Sukamdi, (61), a resident of Bengkayang Regency, and Nurhayati (70), a resident of Sambas Regency. All the victims in the accident came from West Kalimantan region. The suspect is subject to Article 310 paragraph 4, paragraph 3 and paragraph 2 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. This article is used because the driver caused a traffic accident that resulted in injuries or deaths.
