JAKARTA - Piles of garbage and banana plantations in the Jalan Boulevard Raya area, RT 17/07, Pangolin Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, suddenly caught fire on Thursday, August 24, evening. The fire was reported by residents to East Jakarta Gulkarmat officers at 21.22 WIB. Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman confirmed that there was a fire that hit land and piled up garbage in the Cakung area. However, the flames actually spread and began to spread to residents' settlements. The fire was successfully controlled by officers by the water sputtering method. "The burning object is garbage and a banana plantation area, it has spread to settlements. We have deployed 5 fire engines to the fire site," said Gatot when confirmed, Thursday, August 24, evening.

As many as 25 Gulkarmat officers were deployed to the fire site to extinguish the fire. Officers arrived at the location since 21.31 WIB and immediately extinguished the fire. "The fire was successfully extinguished at 21.47 WIB. Currently, the fire status is yellow, still cooling. The situation does not endanger the right and left of the settlements," he said.
