SEMARANG Responds to the proposed increase in the salaries of the central and regional civil servants (ASN) in 2024 which was conveyed by President Joko Widodo, Semarang City Regional Secretary (Sekda) Iswar Aminuddin revealed that the increase must be balanced with performance.
"Of course with the increase (paid) good news for civil servants (civil servants)," said Iswar, quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 20.
However, he reminded ASN not to just be happy with the increase in salaries, but to balance them with better performance.
"How fast to serve the community, how can the city of Semarang be even better. I think that's what friends (ASN) have to do," he said.
Regarding President Jokowi's proposal regarding the increase in ASN salaries, Iswar said that the Semarang City Government was ready to implement what was decided by the central government.
"Yes, whatever it is, we will definitely follow. What has been decided by the central government. What percentage increases, we will prepare later. At least from the General Allocation Fund (DAU)," he said.
"How is the central policy, we will definitely follow suit," said Iswar.
