Press Pollution, Tangerang DLH Adds CFD Schedule

JAKARTA - To suppress the use of vehicles, the Tangerang City Environment Agency will add to the car free day (CFD) implementation schedule from once every month in the second week, to twice a month.

Head of the Tangerang City Environment Agency, Tihar Sopian, in Tangerang, Saturday, August 19, hopes that the addition of the CFD schedule will be a solution to reduce air pollution.

Because apart from sports activities, CFD has so far had a significant impact in encouraging the social transformation of the community towards environmentally friendly habits

"We are preparing so that the implementation of CFD in Tangerang City is not only once every month, but twice. Because of its very significant impact on the environment and society," he said.

CFD in Tangerang City is held at 13 location points, namely Jalan M. Yamin in Tangerang District, Jalan Irigasi Sipon in Cipondoh District, Jalan Marshal Suryadarma in Neglasari District, Prambanan Street in Cibodas District.

Jalan Pinang Kunciran in Pinang District, Dahu Street in Jatiuwung District, Duta Garden in Benda District, Pojok Peruri Street in Ciledug District, Berhias Street in Karawaci District.

Jalan Juanda di Kecamatan Batuceper, Perumahan Puri Beta 1 di Kecamatan Larangan, Komplek CBD di Kecamatan Karang Tengah dan Grand Tomang di Kecamatan Periuk.

According to him, CFD is a concrete effort from the Tangerang City Government to reduce air pollution, which has been running regularly.

"In addition to preventing air pollution in Tangerang City, CFD also has an important role to play in increasing public awareness regarding environmental awareness in Tangerang City," he said.
