JAKARTA - PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan is optimistic that PAN's vote acquisition will be better than the positive trend in the electability of his party in a number of survey results.

This was conveyed by him in response to the results of a survey by Indonesian Political Indicators which recorded PAN electability of 4.3 percent.

"Now in the survey 4-5 percent, I think the results are better, God willing," said Zulhas, his nickname, in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 18.

Because, according to him, PAN is often considered an underdog political party based on several survey results in the previous election, but this is ultimately refuted.

"Indeed, PAN is often the underdog in the survey, but in reality it always passes to Senayan. Previously, PAN was always called 1 or 2 percent, but in reality it passed with 7 percent of the votes in the election," he said.

He said the achievement of the results of a survey related to PAN's electability, which is the hard work of all of its cadres, will also be used as a reference in making work programs in the upcoming elections.

"All cadres work hard, from the center to the regions. I am sure the results will be maximized. These surveys must be a trigger for enthusiasm and at the same time a challenge for cadres," he said.

Based on the results of the latest survey by Indonesian Political Indicators conducted on July 15-21, the PDI-P became the highest electability political party of 24.7 percent.

Then consecutively followed by the Gerindra Party (12.3 percent), Golkar Party (10.7 percent), PKB (8.0 percent), Democratic Party (6.9 percent), PKS (5.3 percent), NasDem Party (5.0 percent), PAN (4.3 percent), and PPP (2.7 percent).

The survey with the title "Split-Ticket Voting and Trend Electability of Presidential Candidates and Political Parties Ahead of the 2024 General Election" was conducted with a survey population consisting of Indonesian citizens aged 17 years or older, or married when the survey was conducted.

Sampling was carried out using the multistage random sampling method which was attended by 1,811 respondents. The interview was conducted face-to-face, with a margin of error of approximately 2.35 percent at the 95 press confidence level
