PPP Says Ganjar Is Full Of Criteria For Jokowi's Version Of Leaders

Spokesperson for the United Development Party (PPP) Achmad Baidowi said that Ganjar Pranowo's presidential candidate (candidate) was considered to meet the criteria for President Joko Widodo's version of the leader.

Baidowi said Ganjar had proven achievements with his performance during his time as governor in Central Java.

"Yes, it is clear that the criteria are in Mas Ganjar. He has proven brave, populist. An example of courage when he took action against extortion on the weight bridge, he was not burdened at all," Baidowi said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 18.

According to him, Ganjar has good stamina and physical. Baidowi made an analogy of this as Ganjar's strength to undergo a marathon, both in its true sense and in a political metaphor.

"So if it's just a marathon, whether it's a marathon in the real sense or an enigmatic meaning, it's not something new for Mas Ganjar," said the man who is familiarly called Awiek.

He said strong stamina is needed for a physical marathon as well as in the sense of leading a leadership period.

"Long run, including stamina in leading at least one period for five years, requires a long breath. That's not new for Mas Ganjar, everything is in Mas Ganjar," he explained.

Jokowi sebeleumnya said the challenges in the future are not easy. Therefore, Jokowi continued, it takes courage and trust from a leader to make difficult and unpopular decisions.

"This is political capital in leading a great nation like Indonesia," said Jokowi.

Jokowi assessed that Indonesia needed a leader figure who could continue the leadership baton to achieve Golden Indonesia.

"Because what we need is a long breath, because we are not traveling in the afternoon, we are also not in the sprint, but what we are doing should be a marathon run to reach Indonesia Gold," said President Jokowi.
