August 18, ASN In Tangerang Asked To Take Angkot Or Use Electric Vehicles

TANGERANG - The Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) plans to limit the use of private vehicles, especially for employees in the government. This policy was taken to reduce air pollution in Tangerang City.

The Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, appealed to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in its place to use public transportation as of August 18, 2023. Except, owning an electric vehicle.

"The plan is that starting this Friday, fellow employees can use public transportation or use bicycles. Those who can take vehicles to their offices that use electric vehicles, for example, yes," said Arief in his statement, Wednesday, August 16.

Regarding the recommendation from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo regarding Work From Home (WFH), Arief said that it is still under study from the Tangerang City Government.

"Still reviewing it because it was only yesterday afternoon, so we will evaluate it later," he said.

He added that the Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, also appealed to residents who want to do activities outside, they should use masks to prevent Acute Breathing Channel Infections (ARI).

"Our advice for activities is good by taking care of yourself using a mask," he concluded.
