Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan said that one of the members of the gang that took action at Puri Anjasmoro Housing Semarang on July 15, 2023, was arrested along with various stolen evidence.

"Suspect N (37), a resident of Indralaya, Palembang, South Sumatra, was arrested with various stolen goods and a car as a means when the gang took action," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 14.

According to him, the other three members of the gang, all of whom came from Palembang, are still under development.

Donny explained that the gang randomly chose the victims.

"If the target house is confirmed to be empty, the perpetrators will immediately enter the house," he said.

The total loss due to the theft event reached Rp700 million

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
