PDIP Respects PAN And Golkar Support Prabowo In The 2024 Presidential Election

Chairman of the PDI-P DPP Said Abdullah responded to Golkar and PAN's declaration of support for Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.

Said said that the party bearing the white-nosed bull symbol had great respect for the sovereignty of every political party.

"This reflects the well-growing of democracy," Said said in a written statement in Bandung, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, August 13.

According to him, his party has also established political cooperation with PPP, Hanura and Perindo. For this reason, PDIP will further strengthen the basis for support for Ganjar Pranowo as a potential presidential candidate for 2024.

There is PPP which has the strength of the ranks of kiai and santri who are steadfast in the path of political da'wah. Then, Perindo has a media power network and Hanura has supporting power outside Java.

"For this complementary political capital, PDIP with its existing political power is heartened by political configurations," he said.

Said explained that during the 2014 presidential election, the pair Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla were only carried by the PDI-P, PKB, NasDem, Hanura and PKPI.

Even though at that time, the number of party supports for PDIP was far behind, but strong solidity and political work at the grassroots proved to be able to make the Jokowi-JK pair win the presidential election with 53.15 percent of the votes, while Prabowo-Hatta 46.88 percent.

"In our political belief, smart work, and high concern for grassroots, we believe we can win the people's support in the 2024 presidential election even greater. That is what we will continue to guide as a political way to win Ganjar Pranowo," he stressed.

Furthermore, PDIP has a long history as a party that is educated and raised by being used to being beaten politically. This happened during the New Order and Jokowi-JK.

"Therefore, we need to remind all PDIP cadres that we have experienced the bitter history of history, precisely from that long experience we have to strengthen the fighting mentality," said Said.

"We must be able to be as firm as possible through a steep political path and that way our fighting mentality is formed. We must not be complacent about the sweetness of power and forget our identity as a flip-flops party, as a party supported by a brave line of people who are used to 'getih'," he added.

By reflecting on that identity, continued Said, his party can walk and move together with the fighting spirit to win the 2024 General Election.

"We believe Ganjar Pranowo as a figure whose electoral magnetic prospects are very large until the voting period on February 14, 2024," said Said.

Previously reported, the Golkar Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN), and the National Awakening Party (PKB) in a coalition with the Gerindra Party in a coalition to declare Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.

Present delivered his first political speech for the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hararto.

In his speech, Airlangga mentioned the reason for his party's support because Prabowo was born from the womb of the Golkar Party so that it was in the same direction, in line, and agreed with the Golkar Party.

Meanwhile, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan called this coalition to continue what has been achieved by the current government.

"Finishing Pak Prabowo's struggle because we have to continue what the President has achieved at this time, we have a golden opportunity," said Zulhas.

Muhaimin Iskandar, who had the third opportunity to deliver his speech, said that PKB together with Golkar, PAN, and Gerindra wanted to complete their work to build Indonesia.

"Hopefully we together with PKB, Golkar, and PAN can complete the work," said Muhaimin.
