Welcoming RI's 78th Anniversary In Bogor, Thousands Of People Spread 100 Meters Of Red And White

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government, West Java, together with thousands of residents carried out the Red and White carnival from the local city hall to Jalan Siliwangi, Sukasari, in the series of the Red and White Festival welcoming the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

Thousands of participants of the Red and White carnival and 500 100-meter-long flag bearers were released by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil at Bogor City Hall accompanied by Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto at 7.30 WIB.

Wearing a Red and White Festival t-shirt, red and white headbands, Bima Arya and Ridwan Kamil walked about one kilometer to Jalan Suryakencana.

Before releasing the carnival participants, Ridwal Kamil appreciated the activities of the Red and White Festival every August which are routinely held in Bogor City., Central Bogor District

"The festival and the Red and White carnival are extraordinary which I appreciate from Bogor City, applause for Bogor City," said Ridwan Kamil, quoted by ANTARA, August 13.

Ridwan Kamil said that from his grandfather to older brother his father fought for Indonesia as several fighters during the Dutch colonial period, dealing with DITII and the PKI who died on the battlefield.

The Indonesian nation, said Ridwan Kamil, fights for the Republic of Indonesia with so much injury, so that the task of the current generation is to care for and maintain the Red and White as well as possible.

"I, from the same family story, my grandfather defended the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in Dutch prison twice, I lost my war with colonialism. My pesantren was expelled by DITII, my wa also died by the PKI gang, so from the governor's family, the legacy is defending the country," he said.

Therefore, as governor, Ridwan Kamil strives to maximize for five years, maintain Pancasila, maintain the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and become the first province to have an anti-radicalism curriculum, anti-terrorism.

Meanwhile, thousands of participants were greeted by people lined up on the sidewalk along the carnival. The public was enthusiastic about watching the Red and White carnival accompanied by the drumb band from the TNI, Polri, Atang Sanjaya Air Base and the community.

The community's devices continued to take pictures and record visuals of the TNI, Polri and community actions carrying flags on their heads and accompanying the drumb band.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto before inviting Ridwan Kamil to release the carnival group said that the Red and White Festival which has been going on for the last few years contains the message that Bogor for Indonesia, a peaceful, friendly, and full of togetherness Indonesia.

"Freedom!
