JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono will issue a work from home (WFH) policy for the DKI Provincial Civil Servants (ASN) and school students to study remotely or online during the ASEAN Summit.

Heru said that he would issue governor's instructions for WFH policies and distance learning (PJJ) ahead of the implementation of the Southeast Asia head of state meeting forum on September 5-7.

However, only schools and government offices are instructed to carry out online activities around the activity route for the ASEAN Summit delegation.

"In the DKI Regional Government area, I will ensure that I make a decision on the governor's instructions, for example for schools, regional government buildings around the location point later, where we will carry out work from home activities," Heru said at the Merdeka Barat 9 Forum which was broadcast online, Tuesday, August 8.

Heru views that he took this instruction to reduce the number of congestion during the ASEAN Summit in the capital city. He also asked for understanding from private companies to participate in implementing WFH policies for his employees.

Because, Heru realized that he could not require offices other than the government to participate in implementing work at home.

"We only urge outside the DKI Regional Government organization to be able to contribute to the smooth running of the ASEAN Summit which will be carried out on September 5-7. So, private parties can start thinking, for example, work from home with their respective policies," explained Heru.

"Once again, for those outside the regional, private, and other apparatus, it is a circular and appeal," he continued.

On the alin side, the DKI Provincial Government has also repaired 18 national roads in Jakarta ahead of the ASEAN Summit. Among them are Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.

Then, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Jalan MI Ridwan Rais, Jalan Rasuna Said, Jalan MT Haryono, Jalan Gatot Subroto, and Jalan Halim.

Furthermore, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Jalan Haji Agus Salim, Jalan Arif Rahman Hakim (Tugu Tani), and Jalan Kramat Kwitang are held by the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-dept.

Then, Jalan Sisingamangaraja and Jalan Panglima Polim are held by the South Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. Finally, Jalan DI Panjaitan is held by the East Jakarta Highways Sub-dept.
