YOGYAKARTA The figure of Atalia Praratya who is familiarly called Ibu Cinta is the wife of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil.

Launching VOI, Atalia has registered as a Candidate for Legislative Member (Sabareg) of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar Party (Golkar). He is advancing in the One West Java Electoral Area (Dapil), which includes Bandung City and Cimahi City.

According to Ridwan Kamil, one of Atalia's goals in entering politics is to make her life more beneficial to the wider community.

"So entering the party has an aspiration to bring its benefits to the national policy level. So they choose to devote their thoughts to the national level. So that it is the most suitable as a member of the DPR," he said on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

The woman who was born in Bandung, November 20, 1973 has long been in contact with the public in her daily activities. This is not surprising, considering that Atalia is the wife of the number one person in West Java, Ridwan Kamil.

Atalia is known to have studied in Bandung, from elementary school to college.

After graduating from SMA 5 Bandung, Atalia continued her education at the Faculty of Economics, Padjadjaran University (Unpad). Next, she took a Bachelor of Political Sciences at Parahyangan University.

After getting a Bachelor's degree, Atalia resumed her academic career by taking the Master of Communication Science program at Pasundan University.

While taking the master's degree, Atalia Praratya managed to become the best graduate with a GPA of 3.67. This cannot be separated from the support of her husband and two children.

The title was obtained by Atalia after successfully maintaining her dissertation entitled The Influence of the Development of the Non-formal School Instruction Communication Program 'Sekoper Cinta' on the Behavior Change of Students in West Java Province.

Doctor Atalia's promotional trial which was chaired directly by the Unpad Chancellor Prof. Rina Indiastuti was held at Bale Sawala, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, Monday, September 10, 2022.

The trial was also attended by the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Bintang Puspayoga, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil along with the families and elements of the West Java Forkopimda, regents/mayors throughout West Java, and heads of regional apparatus within the West Java Provincial Government.

Atalia Praratya's Career

As the wife of Ridwan Kamil, Atalia is very active in community activities. In addition to carrying out her duties as the wife of the Governor, Atalia also serves as Chair of the West Java PKK Mobilization Team and the Chairperson of the West Java Scout Movement Regional Kwartir.

Not only that, Atalia is also busy with various other works. Atalia Praratya is known to be a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Widyatama University.

Atalia also serves as commissioner of PT Urbane Indonesia, Consultant Architecture founded by Ridwan Kamil with Achmad D. Tardiyana, Reza A. Nurtjahja, and Irvan P. Darwis.

In addition to having an academic career and good position, Atalia Praratya also wrote several books. He even received the 2022 IKAPI Awards in the Literacy Promoter category.
