SEMARANG - Head of the National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) Hasto Wardoyo is proposed to be the Acting Governor of Central Java (Central Java) replacing Ganjar Pranowo, who will finish his term of office on September 5, 2023.

"All of us who are proposed is part of the implementation of public service so that if given the task of serving as a projo, we will certainly carry out the mandate as best we can," said Hasto, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 7.

Hal itu disampaikan Hasto saat menanggapi namanya masuk usulan tiga nama calon Penjabat Gubernur Jateng yang diusulkan DPRD Jateng ke Kementerian Dalam Negeri.

Apart from Hasto Wardoyo, there are names proposed, namely the Head of the Attorney General's Office of Education and Training, Tony Tribagus Spontana, and the Regional Secretary of Central Java, Sumarno.

The three names are the result of a joint meeting of all leaders and heads of the Central Java DPRD faction based on capabilities capable of continuing the Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo program.

Furthermore, the three names will be followed up and it is considered by President Joko Widodo to obtain approval to become Acting Governor of Central Java.

The election for Acting Governor is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 4 of 2023.

In Article 2 it is written to fill the vacancy of the positions of Governor and Deputy Governor, the government appoints the Acting Governor to lead the administration of government in the area to the inauguration of the definitive governor and/or deputy governor.
