Fire In Tarakan, 150 Families And 500 People Lost Their Homes

A total of 150 families (KK) in RT 001 and RT 003, Beringin 4, Selumit Pantai Village, West Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara, which ranged from 500 people, became victims of a fire, Sunday, August 6 at around 02.31 WITA.

"As the head of BPBD, I am also concerned about the fire accident which was affected by 58 houses in RT 001 and 63 houses in RT 3 which are inhabited by 150 families with around 500 people," said Head of BPBD Tarakan City Yonsep quoted from Antara, Sunday.

According to him, the temporary victim data came from the local RT, village head and sub-district head.

Currently, the displaced victims have prepared two large tents in the courtyard of the Al Ma'arif Mosque on Jalan Yos Sudarso. In addition, one tent is for health.

The refugees will use the facilities at the Al Ma'arif Mosque. "Regarding donations, it is regulated by the Social Service," said Yonsep.

Currently, the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), TNI and Polri are securing the location of the fire.

The location of the fire, which is suspected to have started the fire, has been given a police line by personnel from the Tarakan Police Investigation and Criminal Unit.

One of the local residents named Adit revealed that it was suspected that the fire came from the house occupied by Upi.

"About two o'clock in the morning, when the house came out, it was already big," said Adit.

Home buildings at the location of the fire are mostly semi-permanent and narrow roads are water.
