KPK Call Menpora Dito Clarifies Assets Of Rp162 Billion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) called the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo today. This step was taken to clarify the assets with a prize status of Rp. 162 billion submitted in the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN).

"This Menpora we clarified this morning. I called the Menpora," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Execution Pahala Nainggolan to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 24.

From the results of this clarification, Pahala explained that Dito admitted that he had entered the data incorrectly in his report.

"In fact, he is the same as anyone who knows that this has his own business column, grants, apparently it is advocated that grants must use a deed," he said.

Therefore, according to Pahala, Dito will improve the wealth report he submitted. However, he did not specify when the move was taken.

"Finally it was concluded and he agreed that he would revise the LHKPN from the gift category to be replaced with a grant without a deed," said Pahala.

"Because I explained 'the prize is a connotation of gratification, sir' even if it's not from the family gift, but rather than, it's already a grant without a deed," he continued.

As previously reported, Dito reported his wealth to the KPK on July 12 after he was appointed as Minister of Youth and Sports replacing Zainudin Amali. He has a total assets of IDR 282,265,579,658.

Of that number, there are five assets in the form of four houses and one car with the status of a prize. The total value reached Rp162 billion.

Related to this, Dito admitted that the assets were indeed gifts from parents. "So the position of the prize is indeed," he said in a written statement.

Dito mentioned about his parents who are businessmen. He also said that the reported assets were also combined with his wife's.

"Previously, my wife had received many gifts from her parents. If she was inputted to the LHKPN, all the certificates and origins were clear and we try to be honest in her report. If the KPK needs further clarification, I am ready," he concluded.
