JAKARTA - Dozens of students from prison inmates (WBP) or inmates of Class 1 Central Jakarta Detention Center or Salemba Rutan commemorate the Islamic New Year 1 Muharam 1146 Hijriah at the At - Tambah Mosque, Salemba Rutan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 18, afternoon. The activity was also attended by the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque KH Nasarudin Umar.

According to KH Nasarudin Umar, he was impressed when he saw the situation in the clean Salemba Rutan environment and the marawis team consisting of WBP.

"There is guidance here and of course the hope in the future is how this school gives birth and obtains people who can create positive activities for the nation's life," he said in front of the inmates of the Salemba Rutan, Tuesday, July 18.

Nasarudin further said that this Islamic New Year was used as a momentum to improve self-quality.

"So that later it will become the pride of all of our families. Hopefully this new year our nation will increasingly have competitiveness with other nations with the development of extraordinary human resources," he said.

Nasarudin also advised that (Rutan Salemba) be used as a place to clean up all past mistakes and pay off past sins.

"God willing, we can become productive people in the future and get a decent place in the eyes of Allah to go to the afterlife," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Class 1 Detention Center of Central Jakarta, Fauzi Harahap, said that this activity was to welcome the Islamic New Year 1 Muharam 1146 Hijriah.

"This activity is also the inauguration and inauguration of the construction of mosque santri at taubah rutan salemba. We will continue to provide materials to the inmates so that they become children of the nation who have the obligation and strength to defend their country in society," he said.
