Bogor City Government Receives 300 Complaints For Fraud In The Middle To High School Level PPDB Process

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government received 300 complaints regarding indications of fraud in the process of accepting new students (PPDB) from the junior high to high school level and equivalent after opening a complaint service due to many complaints on social media.

Related to this, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto made a visit to follow up on public complaints that have since gone viral on social media regarding fraudulent PPDB SMA in the zoning route with unclear addresses and actions to entrust children's identities on family cards (KK).

"We checked earlier, to Gang Selot which is closest to SMPN 1, some houses did not find the name of the child and some were suspicious too, the coordinates were close, but when registering the address was far away, so I think this is really a game," said Bima Friday, July 7th.

One of the points checked by Bima Arya was in Gang Selot and Jalan Kantor Batu, Paledang Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City which was not far from SMPN 1 Bogor City and SMAN 1 Bogor City.

There, Bima Arya accompanied by the Head of Central Bogor Sub-district, Dicky Iman Nugraha, verified the owner of the house to ask the names related to PPDB through the zoning route.

A resident confirmed that the name was domiciled there and was registering for PPDB through the zoning route, but many homeowners did not know the name Bima Arya asked.

Not only that, when verifying Bima Arya, he also found that the name he was holding was located at an empty rented house and empty or boarding houses inhabited by workers.

From these findings, the Bogor City Government will conduct a thorough investigation in all schools.

"I will also go to Disdukcapil to Disdik, we will audit all the systems on how to determine coordinates, how to verify family cards, that is important for schools. Disdik, Disdukcapil we will audit all of them. Tomorrow I will respond to that, this is in response to residents' complaints," he said.

When verifying Bima Arya also received complaints from residents, a rice shop owner who had lived for three years on Jalan Kantor Batu after previously living on Jalan Paledang.

Although the location where he lives is close to SMAN 1 Bogor City, the mother's child who was at the top of the PPDB zoning route was suddenly eliminated.

Responding to that, Bima Arya emphasized that it was outrageous when someone was still playing with the future of the children.

"Earlier there was a child there whose house was close but did not get it because it was thrown from the far one, if this is like this, this zoning system is not true, most of the schools in the city center are far away. Some are even from the outskirts," he said.

According to Bima, this zoning system proved unprepared and suggested it be canceled.

"Even if this zoning is still implemented, the system must be more neat, our population system, verification system, then school infrastructure. As long as infrastructure is not evenly distributed, it is impossible to use this zoning system," he said.

Bima revealed that from the results of the verification after a field check, it was also found that there were indications of changing family cards.

"Some have moved their families, some have added their families, some are really fake. Later we will record all these indications," he said.

Bima Arya said that together with the team, he would review the names of students who were indicated to come in by cheating before entering the PPDB 2023 announcement stage.

"We will discuss it first, what kind of review first, because it is still under our authority, there is still time for announcement, tomorrow I will go to Disdik and Dukcapil," he said.
