President Jokowi Hands Over Basic Materials For Vendors Of Phara Sentani Market

SENTANI - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will hand over basic material assistance to traders at Phara Sentani Market, Jayapura Regency, Papua.

Regional Secretary of Jayapura Regency Hana Hikoyab said that the local Industry and Trade Office is currently listing traders who will receive basic food assistance including rice, cooking oil, eggs, and sugar.

"Later one hour before the President arrives at the Phara Sentani Market, all data is ready, so the aid will be handed over to traders who are entitled to assistance," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 7.

According to Hana, her party hopes that with the assistance of basic commodities for traders, it can suppress inflation in the area.

From observations in the field, officers from the Jayapura Regency Industry and Trade Office carried out cleaning in the Phara Sentani Market area to welcome President Jokowi.

President Jokowi is scheduled to visit the Phara Sentani Market after Friday prayers at the Baiturrahim Jayapura Grand Mosque at 13.40 WIT.

Previously, President Jokowi had given calculated tests for elementary school students in Jayapura City and opened Papua Street Carnival on Jalan Soasiu, Dok II Jayapura.
