Ombudsman Receives Report Of Unscrupulous Intervention Officials Regarding PPDB In Riau Islands

TANJUNGPINANG - Ombudsman RI Representative of Riau Islands Province (Kepri) found interventions of unscrupulous officials to members of the DPRD related to entrusting prospective students to enter SMA/SMK specified on the implementation of new student admissions (PPDB) in 2023. "Our findings are the same as in previous years. There are still interventions of officials to the DPRD in PPDB 2023," said Head of the Riau Islands Ombudsman, Lagat Parroha Patar Siadari quoted by ANTARA, Thursday 6 July. Lagat said the intervention was quite massive. This is based on information obtained from the public and educational units. According to him, this is only the case in two cities, namely Batam and Tanjungpinang. Batam covers SMK Negeri 1 and SMK Negeri 5. Meanwhile in Tanjungpinang, SMA Negeri 2.He gave an example at SMA Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang, a number of board members forced or minutes of handling links to children from his constituents so that they could enter the school. "The number of students entrusted by DPRD members can reach dozens of people. This is a fact that we found in the field," he said.
