YOGYAKARTA The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train is projected to operate commercially on October 1, 2023. However, the public can try out this train on August 18, 2023. So, what stations are traversed by the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train? Check out the full information below.

There are four stations that will be passed by the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) from Jakarta to Bandung Regency.

The four stations are Halim Station (Jakarta), Karawang Station (Karawang), Padalarang Station (West Bandung Regency), and Tegalluar Station (Bandung Regency).

Currently, the construction of the four stations continues to be accelerated, where Halim Station and Tegalluar Station each have reached 93 percent. Meanwhile, Padalarang stations reached 63 percent.

In addition, trials of the Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) series or the KCJB passenger train have also begun.

This trial was carried out after previously testing with a Comprehensive Inspection Train (CIT) or an Inspection Train of up to 350 km per hour.

"Currently, testing has entered the next stage, namely testing for a series of passenger trains with a test pattern that has not been intended to transport passengers," said KCIC Corporate Communication Manager Emir Monti, in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 4, according to VOI.

Emir said, this series of Passenger Trains has the same type of KCIC400AF as the Inspection Train but has different functions, interiors, and exteriors. Unlike the Inspection Train which is filled with meeting rooms and measuring equipment, the Passenger Train serves to serve passengers so that there are seating facilities of up to 601 passengers.

In addition to the interior, continued Emir, differences are also seen in the exterior where the Inspeksi Train is gray and yellow, while the Passenger Train is gray and red.

It didn't stop there, the KCJB passenger train also had the name Red Komodo or Komodo Merah. This is based on a series of red and shaped animals that are inspired by typical Indonesian animals from prehistoric times.

Emir said the exterior of the passenger train was also inspired by the Komodo scales which were reflected in the triangular pattern on the nose and doors of the train.

Furthermore, Emir explained that the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train passengers are made as comfortable as possible so that passengers enjoy the trip according to the desired class. There is also an element of local wisdom through the use of a mega cloudy batik motif on all seats and the shape of the train inspired by Komodo.

Emir revealed, there are 11 trainsets or a series of KCJB passenger trains that have arrived entirely in Indonesia.

"The entire train series is currently parked at the Tegalluar Depo and is preparing to be certified by the Ministry of Transportation to ensure the feasibility of train operations," he said.

He added that one series of high-speed trains consists of 8 trains with a total length of 208 meters which has three service classes, namely First Class on train 1 and 8, Business Class on train 7, and the rest is Premium Economy.

Other supporting facilities available on the KCJB passenger train include contact stops, televisions, folding tables, and toilets that are friendly for users with special needs.

There is also a mini bar in the middle of a series for passengers who want to buy snacks and cold and hot drinks, said Emir.
