President Jokowi Arrives In Sydney For Annual Leaders' Meeting 2023

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo arrived in Sydney, Australia, at around 20.45 local time, to attend the 2023 Annual Leaders' Meeting series.

As reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 3, the presidential plane landed at Kingsford Smith International Airport, Sydney, after traveling for approximately seven hours.

After the plane stopped perfectly, Indonesian Ambassador to Australia Siswo Pramono together with Head of State Protocol for Australia Gerard Martin boarded the plane to welcome President Jokowi on board.

Meanwhile, under the plane's stairs, the Indonesian Defense Attache for Australia, Admiral TNI Anak Agung Oka Wirayudha welcomed the arrival of President Jokowi.

Meanwhile, from the Australian side, also welcoming President Jokowi were Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Penny Williams PSM, Australian Minister of Industry and Science Ed Husic MP, New South Wales Deputy Secretary Christopher Sullivan, New South Wales Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy John Graham MLC, and New South Wales Director of Protocol Lynne Bryne.

From the airport, President Jokowi and his entourage continued their journey to the hotel where they spent the night during their visit to Sydney.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the President was greeted by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan who had arrived earlier to prepare for President Jokowi's visit.

While in Sydney, President Jokowi is scheduled to attend the 2023 Annual Leaders' Meeting series with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese which is a routine meeting between Indonesia and Australia.

In addition, President Jokowi is also scheduled to meet with the Governor General of Australia David Hurley.
