Street When Checking Bhayangkara Day 77th Warning Troops, Jokowi: If You Use A Car, The Grass Will Be Damaged

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) chose to walk while inspecting the ranks of the National Police during the 77th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day which was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, July 1.

This moment is different because every time he checks the ranks at a similar event, Jokowi usually takes a command car and goes around. This was also agreed by the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"It was not uncommon earlier. During the inspection, the troops usually took a car," said Jokowi, smiling a little.

"Earlier the examination was carried out in a running manner," he continued.

Jokowi said he had to walk quite far because the troops who were questioned were many and lined up in the middle of the soccer stadium. However, he felt this condition was not a problem for him.

"It's quite far but I'm still strong," he said accompanied by boisterous invitations who attended.

Even so, Jokowi had a special reason why he chose to walk. He said he wanted to keep the grass from the stadium.

"Because I know that the grass at the Bung Karno Stadium should not be damaged. So, if you use a car, the grass will definitely be damaged, so that's right," he said.

For information, SUGBK is used for various events outside football matches and other sports activities. Finally, the stadium was used for the peak event of Bung Karno Month (BBK) which was held by the PDI Perjuangan.

Later, a video circulated that the grass conditions on the SUGBK field were quite damaged after the BBK event. But now the grass there has returned to good.
