80 Percent Of Criminals In Gorontalo In A Condition Of Drunkness, Kapolda Promises To Eradicate Liquor

GORONTALO - Liquor is one of the causes of rampant criminal acts in Gorontalo Province. Nearly 80 percent of criminals in the area are drunk.

For this reason, the Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Angesta Romano Yoyol continues to be committed to eradicating liquor. He conveyed this after the commemoration of Bhayangkara's 77th Birthday (HUT) in Gorontalo City, Saturday, July 1.

"After I analyzed the cause, it was liquor, almost 80 percent of the perpetrators were drunk," said the Kapolda, as quoted from Antara.

He emphasized to all Polri personnel in Gorontalo to conduct raids or confiscation of liquor in the area.

"I saw that in the last two months, with no drinks or difficulty finding criminal cases, it fell by 50 percent," said the Kapolda.

The Regional Police Chief said that the Gorontalo Regional Police and the Resort Police had opened a telephone complaint service to a short message to make it easier for the public to report if they knew of the circulation of liquor.

"It turns out that after this many people reported, 75 percent of the liquor was revealed from the public," said the Kapolda.

Including police officers who were involved in liquor, said the Kapolda, had been processed.

Previously, the Gorontalo Police had a 77th Bhayangkara Anniversary Commemoration ceremony at the Youth Youth Youth Youth Youth Field, Gorontalo City, led by the Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Pol Ageda Romano Yoyol.

The commemoration of the National Police's birthday was also attended by Acting Governor of Gorontalo, Danrem 133/Nani Wartabone, Deputy Chief of Police, PJU, and the Gorontalo Province Regional Leadership Communication Forum, religious leaders, community leaders, youth leaders and other policy makers.
