JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed a fictitious official travel mode so that disbursement of allowances can be done. This is considered detrimental to state finances because the budget is included in the private pockets of the state civil apparatus (ASN).

"In the results of the 2022 BPK examination, there are still findings related to official travel that are not in accordance with the provisions or fictitious regulations," said Head of the KPK Korsup Task Force Region I Maruli Tua in a written statement, Friday, June 23.

This condition made the KPK ask the employees to be punished, said Maruli. "Siplinary sanctions to create a deterrent effect," he said.

"Because of small things such as fraud on this official trip, there is a potential for acts of corruption because it results in state or regional financial losses," continued Maruli.

Another problem that usually occurs is data related to the procurement of goods and services. It is hoped that all local governments will tighten it, including in Seluma Regency, Bengkulu.

Maruli reminded that there should be no intervention to win certain companies during project auctions. Procurement transparency must also be carried out.

"We ask the Seluma Regency Government to have a vendor performance database. If there are vendors whose work is not good, they are asked to be included in the blacklist list of vendors so they are not re-elected," he said.

In the future, the anti-graft commission said field checks would be carried out. The goal is to ensure that the process of procuring goods and services goes well.

"In time, the KPK team will conduct field checks on the implementation of the action plan and monitor its development together with the Bengkulu Provincial Government," concluded Maruli.
