LSI Denny JA Survey: 76.2 Percent Of Respondents Satisfied With Jokowi's Performance

JAKARTA - The results of the LSI Denny JA survey in June 2023 show that the majority of Indonesians are satisfied with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "The majority of Indonesians are satisfied with Jokowi's performance. The public who say they are very satisfied or quite satisfied with Jokowi's performance is 76.2 percent," said LSI researcher Denny JA, Adjie Alfaraby when presenting the results of the survey "From Jokowi to Bung Karno and the Presidential Candidate" in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, June 19. Meanwhile, continued Adjie, respondents who stated that they were not satisfied or dissatisfied with President Jokowi's performance were 22.4 percent. Furthermore, he conveyed that public satisfaction with Jokowi's performance was the largest in the socio-cultural field, reaching 86.6 percent. Next, public satisfaction with Jokowi's performance in the security sector was 78.9 percent, international 73.1 percent, law enforcement 64.5 percent, provision of basic necessities 61.7 percent, economy 60.1 percent, teacher welfare and civil servants 58.3 percent, and politics 56.4 percent. "In these eight fields, community satisfaction is above 50 percent. These eight fields are Jokowi's blue report cards," said Adjie. Meanwhile, he continued, there are three fields with a level of community satisfaction below 50 percent, namely employment field 42.4 percent, reducing poverty 46.8 percent, and welfare of farmers, laborers, and 49.1 percent of fishermen. "These three fields are Jokowi's red report cards," he said. The latest survey from LSI Denny JA was conducted from May 30 to June 12, 2023. The survey was conducted face-to-face using a questionnaire to 1,200 respondents throughout Indonesia with a margin of error of 2.9 percent. In addition to conducting a survey using quantitative methods, LSI Denny JA also enriched the survey information and analysis by means of a qualitative method, such as media analysis, in-depth interviews, expert assessments, and discussions of the group.
