JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will check the wealth of officials at the Ministry of Transportation to ESDM. This effort was made because there are a number of positions that are vulnerable to being entangled in corrupt practices. "We want to see the Ministry of Transportation. Because there is land and sea transportation. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is also concerned with mining companies' permits," said Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Pahala Nainggolan to reporters, Tuesday, June 13. Pahala said that being a consultant for the company is one of the most frequent modes of doing things. Acceptance of money can be made as if it is a fee for the work that has been done. "It is not permissible (officials or ministry employees, ed) to provide paid consultations," he said. "Further modes that are suspected to occur are suspected to be related to management services," said Pahala. "There are many licensing in land relations, in sea relations. This must be prone to people who appear as individuals, it's not legal," he said. Even so, Pahala did not want to talk much about the allegations he mentioned. He only stated that there were two employees of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation and two from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources who were asked to clarify their wealth.
