DENPASAR - A Spanish citizen with the initials ATA (36) died when he was swept away by the waves on Nunggalan Beach, Pecatu, South Kuta. Two other foreign tourists were burned safe.

Head of the Operations and Alert Section of Basarnas Bali, I Wayan Suwena explained, there were 3 foreign nationals who were swept away by the current, namely a woman with the initials FVL (32) from Spain, a German citizen with the initials AAF (33) including the death toll of a man from Spain with the initials ATA.

Two people were rescued but a Spanish foreigner, ATA, was rolled up by the waves. From that report, the SAR team evacuated.

"The sedan we are facing is a very steep cliff, so we discussed evacuating the victim to the top," I Wayan Suwena was quoted as saying in a written statement, Sunday, June 11.

Two survivors were taken to Sanglah Hospital. It was reported that both of them did not require special medical treatment.

"We can evacuate the victims until above at around 21.25, then they are evacuated using an ambulance service and taken to Sanglah Hospital," said Suwena.
