East Nusa Tenggara Police Chief Inspector General of Police Johni Asadoma reminded the police chiefs in East Nusa Tenggara Province to make various efforts to eradicate cases of criminal trafficking in persons (TPPO) that occurred in the archipelago-based province.

The meeting of the NTT Police Chief with the police chiefs in NTT discussed specifically various efforts to overcome cases of human trafficking through recruitment as a workforce to work abroad.

Johni Asadoma was furious when the children who were children from NTT who became victims in the case of trafficking in persons.

The two-star general asked all Polres of the NTT Police to report its form of action to solve the TIP problem which has become a national concern.

He also ordered all Police Chiefs to form TIP Command Posts to monitor all activities in efforts to eradicate TIP in their respective jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, Kupang Police Chief AKBP Anak Agung Gede Anom Wirata said the Kupang Police had formed a TIP enforcement post in handling cases of trafficking in persons from the area.

"If residents know information related to the TIP case, they should immediately report it to the post or inform the local Bhabinkamtibmas," said the Kupang Police Chief.

He hopes that residents of Kupang Regency will not believe in the persuasion of TIP criminals who come to persuade children to work abroad.

"If anyone comes to give money to allow their child under work abroad, immediately report it to the nearest police officer," said the Kupang Police Chief.
