In Karimun Regency, this potential occurs on the coast of Meral District, Pamak Village, Pamak Laut Village, and its surroundings.

BMKG appealed to coastal communities to be aware of the phenomenon of coastal flooding or tidal flooding which is predicted to occur on June 3-12 2023 in a number of these Riau Islands areas.
