SUNGALIAT - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) stated that a resident of Bukit Layang, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, on behalf of Thousands (39), who was suspected of being attacked by a crocodile in the flow of the Baruk River, a local village, was found.

In the search for victims at the scene, a number of BPBD officers were dispatched, including Basarnas personnel, Bhabinkamtibmas personnel from the Bakam Police, Babinsa personnel from Sungailiat Koramil, Laskar Sekaban volunteers and assisted by residents of Bukit Layang village.

Ridwan appealed to the public to be aware of activities in the river or in the reservoir of used tin seed mining to avoid the threat of crocodiles.

According to Babinsa personnel from the Bukit Layang area from Koramil Sungailiat, Serda Turahman, when found, the victim suffered injuries to the neck such as crocodile bites.

"The victim was immediately taken to the funeral home and the plan is that after Friday prayers he will be buried in a public cemetery," he said.
