JAKARTA - The Head of the Working Area (Daker) Makkah Khalilurrahman ensures that every service in welcoming the arrival of elderly pilgrims to Makkah is ready, one of which is accommodation services.

"For congregational accommodation, 100 percent are ready. Various elderly and sticker-friendly facilities are also recommended for priority for the elderly and disabilities have also been installed. God willing, it is just a matter of waiting for the congregation to arrive," Khalil said in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 31.

Khalil said the operation of organizing the pilgrimage will soon enter the stage of the arrival of pilgrims at Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

The Indonesian Hajj participants who have been in Medina since May 24, 2023, will gradually depart for the Prophet's Birth City.

It is scheduled that 1,889 people will depart from Medina to Makkah on June 1, 2023. They are divided into five flying groups (cluters), each with the first batch of Jakarta-Pondok Gede Embarkation (JKG 01), Solo (SOC), Makassar (UPG 01), Aceh (BTJ 01), and Kualanamu/Medan (KNO 01).

According to Khalil, Indonesian Hajj officers on duty in the Birth City of the Prophet Muhammad Saw are also ready to welcome the presence of pilgrims for Hajj.

"Several supporting facilities for the elderly and disabilities have also been checked for readiness, such as additional seats under the shower and handrail in the bathroom. In fact, some hotels have also prepared emergency buttons and lights for people with disabilities and the elderly," he said.

In addition, said Khalil, supporting facilities for pilgrims at hotels have also been prepared such as dispensers, washing and drying rooms so that they can carry out activities like at home.

"In each room, blankets, pillows, wardrobes, refrigerators, safes and congregants have been provided to wash themselves at the hotel," he said.

There are 108 hotels that have been prepared in Makkah spread across 11 sectors.

Sectors 1 and 2 are located in Mahbas Jin, sectors 3 to 5 are in the Syisah area, sectors 6 and 7 in Raudlah, sectors 8 and 9 in Jarwal, and sectors 10 and 11 are in Misfalah.
