JAKARTA - PDI-P senior politician Andreas Hugo Pareira targets the level of popularity of presidential candidates (readpres) from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo to be above 95 percent.

"The rate of popularity of Ganjar must be above 95 percent," Andreas was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.

Andreas believes Ganjar's high popularity will lead to a higher level of preference and encourage voters to vote for Ganjar on voting day.

"There is still enough time to increase Ganjar's introduction as a presidential candidate," he said.

Litbang Kompas released the latest survey results related to the electability of prospective presidential candidates in 2024. In the simulation of three names for presidential candidates, Ganjar Pranowo received 40 percent support, higher than Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan.

Senior PDI-P politician Hendrawan Supratikno appreciated the credible survey agency because the survey results could be an inspiration to continue fighting for Ganjar to become president in the 2024 presidential election. However, he did not want to draw conclusions from various survey results.

"Politics is still very dynamic. Gathering, safari of figures, orientation, and narrative of cooperation or coalition, is still ongoing. So, we have to practice patience. Don't expect chickens before dawn," said Hendrawan.

Based on the schedule set by the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia, registration of prospective presidential/vice-presidential candidates from October 19 to November 25, 2023.
