JAKARTA - For University of Indonesia (UI) Political Communication Expert, Ari Junaedi, Puan Maharani is considered a politician who has maturity in politics. She continues to carry out her duties as Chair of the DPR, even though she gets special duties from her party as Chair of the 2024 Legislative and Presidential Election Winning Team.

"From the figure of Puan Maharani, we can learn what it means from an employee and maturity in politics," said Ari, Monday, May 22.

"Even though in the end PDIP through the General Chair who incidentally his biological mother announced Ganjar Pranowo's candidacy, Puan did not 'gambek' and accepted gracefully Ganjar's assignment as a presidential candidate and Puan continued to carry out her duties as Chairman of the DPR," he continued.

Puan's maturity attitude was also seen while still leading the internal consolidation of the PDI-P in various regions. Puan continues to carry out political safaris to strengthen the ranks of party cadres bearing the white-nosed bull.

"As a consequence of being a PDIP cadre, Puan has also started to 'gaspool' to win Ganjar. The responsibility given by Megawati as the head of Ganjar's winning team is proof that the task has been carried out by Puan," said Ari.

During her visit to Sukabumi, Puan visited the local PDIP DPC to lead the internal consolidation of preparations for the 2024 General Election. To the cadres, she reminded them to close ranks and focus on winning PDIP in the legislative and presidential elections next year.

In addition, Puan asked all PDIP cadres not to be careless. Puan emphasized that all cadres remain solid and upright with the party's orders.

Not only focusing on the duties of legislation, budget, and supervision, Puan also continues to work to fight for the fate of the Indonesian people in the international arena. Puan continues to carry out parliamentary diplomacy for the sake of the State, such as during the 42nd ASEAN Summit (KTT) in Labuan Bajo, NTT, some time ago.

In the prestigious event, Puan led the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), which is a parliamentary forum for Southeast Asian countries, when giving input or a message to the head of state or ASEAN government.

Through the ASEAN Summit, Puan also brought issues that Indonesia is facing, such as solving cases of violence against Indonesian migrant workers (PMI), as well as regional and global issues such as food security, the green economy, and the Myanmar crisis. Even Puan helped promote Indonesian tourism to the delegations of the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

"Andil Puan at the ASEAN Summit is also increasing relations between countries. Puan's contribution is very large to solidize cooperation between parliaments within ASEAN," explained Ari.
