The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the South Sumatra Regional Police has deployed a cyber team to investigate a case of alleged fraud in the purchase of Coldplay music group concert tickets experienced by an artist manager in Palembang City.

"Yes, the victim's report is under investigation by our cyber team," said Director of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Agung Marlianto, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, May 21.

The South Sumatra Police received a report on the fraud case in ordering Coldplay concert tickets with the victim on behalf of Nina Ocktadyna (30), a resident of Palembang City.

To the police Nina accompanied by her attorney Febi Irianto admitted that she was deceived after ordering a ticket for the Coldplay concert online through a deposit service offered by an Instagram social media account @tixconcern.idn, on Wednesday (17/5).

Then, the account suddenly disappeared after the victim transferred the payment money, as a result, the victim suffered a total loss of Rp. 12.5 million.

To investigate the report, the police Sub-Directorate of Cyber Directorate of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Sumatra Police studied the evidence provided by the victim.

The evidence includes social media accounts Intagram @tixconcern.idn and @tiketuniyah, a Whatsapp application number and account number used by the reported party.

According to Agung, in processing this case, his party will also coordinate with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

Because it is known that Bareskrim Polri also received reports of fraud ordering Coldplay tickets from as many as 14 people in the Jabodetabek area.

"We are waiting for the Headquarters instructions. However (still we are processing it) because the victim made a report domiciled in Palembang, it's a pity if he is pulled to Headquarters he will go back and forth to Jakarta," he said.
