BRIN Submits APH Researchers To Authorities Regarding Hate Speech Cases And Threats Of Violence

JAKARTA - Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Laksana Tri Handoko emphasized that his party handed over the case of BRIN astronomy researcher Andi Pangerang (AP) Hasanuddin to the authorities for action in accordance with the legislation. Handoko also explained that Andi had been found guilty of violating the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) code of ethics by the Council of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct on Wednesday 26 April starting at 09.00-15.15 WIB.

Therefore, BRIN will continue the process of the ASN Disciplinary Sentence Council for the APH case without having to wait for a criminal act that is currently being handled by the Police has permanent legal force. The assembly formed by BRIN for this case focuses on indications of violations of fulfilling obligations as referred to in Article 8 and Article 11 of Government Regulation number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline. The ASN Disciplinary Sentence Council hearing according to the plan will be carried out no later than May 9, 2023, which follows the provisions of BKN Regulation number 6 of 2022 concerning the Implementation Regulation of PP 94 of 2021.
