Police Apply Opening And Closing Contraflow Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

JAKARTA The peak of backflow is predicted to occur today. To prevent vehicle congestion, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol applies an opening and closing contraflow from KM 70 to KM 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Jakarta.

VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), Ria Marlinda Paallo, said that opening and closing contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road was applied to the police discretion.

The goal is to anticipate an increase in the volume of traffic that occurs on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards Jakarta during the Eid backflow season.

Along with this, PT JTT optimizes transaction services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate by operating a total of 30 toll booths.

Of the 30 substations, the details are 26 toll substations towards Jakarta and four toll stations towards Cikampek (Trans Java).

PT JTT has also alerted an additional 30 mobile reader units to serve transactions towards Jakarta and Trans Java.

Ria appealed to Trans Java toll road users to prepare themselves before entering a trip on the toll road.

Also make sure the vehicle is in prime condition, has sufficient electronic money balance, refuels before starting the trip and brings supplies to avoid crowds or congestion in the rest area.

Meanwhile, during the D1 to D+6 Eid or on April 22-28, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded as many as 535,260 vehicles crossing the toll road to Jakarta.

The total volume of vehicles heading to the Jakarta area through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) has increased by 128.44 percent compared to normal traffic of 234,307 vehicles.

The volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) was recorded at 301,224 vehicles up 30.58 percent compared to normal traffic of 230,674 vehicles.
