Ukraine Prepares Counterattack Against Russia, NATO Completes Delivery Of Thousands Of Armor: Kyiv Will Have Nine New Brigades

JAKARTA - The Western Allies are close to completing deliveries of promised combat vehicles to Ukraine, including continuing training on their use in a number of areas, as preparations for a retaliatory attack on Russia are nearing completion.

Ukraine is finalizing preparations for a retaliatory offensive against Russian troops and most are ready to do so, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said Friday.

"As soon as God wants, the weather and the decisions of the commanders, we will," he said at an online press conference.

In this regard, the Secretary-General of NATO previously said NATO allies and partners had delivered nearly all promised combat vehicles to Ukraine.

"More than 98 percent of the promised combat vehicles to Ukraine have been delivered. That means more than 1,550 armored vehicles, 230 tanks, and other equipment, including large amounts of ammunition," he told reporters at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

"In total, we have trained and completed more than nine new Ukrainian armored brigades. This will put Ukraine in a strong position to continue to retake occupied territories," Stoltenberg continued.

Reznikov said Ukraine had received a lot of modern equipment, including weapons that would serve as "iron arms", while the training of some Western equipment continued.

Previously, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers had trained in a number of Western countries to use various military assets on the battlefield in a combined way.
